For this fun little session with the Johnson Family, we decided to keep it intimate and photograph these two in their new home with their sweet dog, Hershey! Libby owns the ah-mazing stationery store in Fort Worth, Byrd & Bleecker, and she is such a doll. I love shooting couples and families in their homes because it’s always a little more personal and comfortable. Here are some of my favorite shots from this session.
I met the Townsend Family down in the awesome Deep Ellum on a windy, cold day to snap some shots of their beautiful family. They braved the cold well – you can’t even tell they were freeeezing, right :)? These boys were such a blast to shoot. We had fun being silly and just letting the boys be boys. I love these sweet shots of mama and papa Townsend as well. How cute are they? Such a great, sweet family, and I’m excited to share this colorful session.
Collins and Tyson got married on Friday in HAWAII! For her bridal session, we headed over to Hillsdale Farms in Greensboro, NC. I can’t rave about Hillsdale Farm enough – this place is BEAUTIFUL. Collins looked stunning in her dress and really relaxed in front of the camera. Perfect light, perfect location, beautiful bride – what more could I ask for? I just adore these photos of Collins and am so happy for she and Tyson.

The Harris Family was so much fun to photograph. SUCH a sweet pair and such proud parents of four-week-old (at the time) Elijah. We took these photos at the Harris home which I love. While we were shooting I found out that these two had never really had a true engagement session, so we took the opportunity to grab some sweet shots of Kevin and Hayley too. Check out how totally adorbs these guys are.
I photographed the sweet King Family in December in Fort Worth. We met at Trinity Park for a lovely session featuring their adorable little girl. Here are some of my favorite shots.
It’s a little out of the ordinary for me to post photos of myself on the blog, but I think I can make an exception for this one. Amir and I decided on a whim one day recently to try to take some photos of ourselves that we’d possibly use as engagement photos. We went against our better judgement and headed out to see what we could capture. Of course I’m too picky about how I look in photos to post all of them, but here are some that are are at least half way decent and acceptable to share with the world. Also, we definitely have not yet mastered the art of hiding the remote :/.
JJ and the Rogues is an incredibly talented band from Fort Worth. After photographing them a couple of times live I had the awesome opportunity to shoot some portraits for their upcoming EP release. These guys are so much fun, and I had a great time working with them. Check out these images from our shoot and listen to some of their sweet jams here. Remember these faces because before you know it we’ll be seeing them on the cover of Rolling Stone!
Lynn and I recently decided to photograph each other for a little headshot exchange. I had so much fun shooting sweet Lynn just as the sun was beginning to set at White Rock Lake. She is the incredibly talented photographer behind Lynn in Love Photo, and she is just plain adorable. I mean seriously, how cute is she?! Here are some of my favorite shots.
I had SUCH a fun time heading up to Edmond, OK with Blue Eye Brown Eye‘s genius, Lauren, to attend the ‘Ring or Knot’ party at the cutest store ever – Chirps and Cheers. Chirps and Cheers is an adorable stationery store that carries everything from greeting cards and custom invitations to home items and office accessories. Chirps and Cheers put on a fabulous event for brides, past brides, potential brides or anyone just looking for a fun night complete with a Blue Eye Brown Eye showcase, delicious food and fun giveaways!
Blue Eye Brown Eye’s darling spread (p.s. if you like this stuff click here to visit her Etsy shop!)
We also set up a photo booth that the guests had a blast hopping in!
I had the awesome pleasure of heading to Austin last weekend to photograph the amazingly talented Sam Riggs Band with the help of their rockin’ stylist April Orr. More to come on this awesome band and their shoot, but for now here are a couple of images!
